Naming Angles sets up the language of geometry. In NSW Year 7 maths (NESA outcome MA4‑ANG‑C‑01) you name points, intervals, rays and lines with capital letters, and describe an angle by its vertex and its two arms.
You will write three-letter names such as \(\angle ABC\) with the vertex in the middle, know when a one-letter name is enough, and read diagram marks for right angles, equal sides and equal angles. You will also pick out adjacent angles and reflex angles. Clear names matter when you explain a solution to someone else. This subtopic is part of Year 7 Angles.
