Classifying Angles sorts angles by size: acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex and revolution. In NSW Year 7 maths it consolidates primary-school ideas and gives the words used in every later angle problem.
You will compare each angle with \(90^\circ\) and \(180^\circ\), classify angles from a size or a diagram, and see that an angle and its reflex angle together make \(360^\circ\). Some questions ask about angles such as one that is \(25^\circ\) less than a straight angle (\(155^\circ\), so obtuse). Builders and designers use the same terms every day. This subtopic is part of Year 7 Angles.
