Year 7 Maths Integers

Adding Integers

20 practice questions 1 video lesson Theory + worked examples

Adding Integers shows what happens when you add positive and negative numbers in NSW Year 7 maths (NESA outcome MA4‑INT‑C‑01). On a number line, start at the first number and jump right to add a positive or left to add a negative, so \(3 + (-8) = -5\).

You will add integers with the same and with different signs using their size (distance from zero), work out sums of three numbers, find a missing number, and write directed number sentences for overdrawn bank accounts, rising temperatures and world time zones, such as finding the hour in another city. It is part of Year 7 Integers.
