F4.1 - Investments and F4.2 - Depreciation and loans- This topic will calculate and compare the values of different investments including shares so over a period of time, we can understand the concepts of reducing balance loans and look at the depreciation of an asset.

You will learn to calculate the Future Value $$(FV)$$, Present Value $$(PV)$$, using an interest rate of $$r$$. This will allow you to compare different investment strategies and performing appropriate calculations when needed.

You will learn the application of depreciation of real world problems. When you drive a brand new car out of the car lot, is it still worth the same in 1 day, 1 year, 10 years? You will also learn about repayments of loans to determine the total loan amount and monthly repayments. You will use this knowledge to solve practical problems relating to credit cards.
