Multiplying Terms Theory

When multiplying terms, the numbers are first multiplied and the like terms are grouped and if there are more than one like term then a power is added.\\ For example \(\begin{aligned}[t] 2 x \times 3 x&=2 \times 3 \times x \times x\\ &=6 x^2. \end{aligned}\)  \begin{multicols}{2}  \textbf{Example 1}\\ Simplify \(4 a \times 2 b \times c\).\\  \textbf{Example 1 solution}\\ \(\begin{aligned} 4 a \times 2 b \times c & =4 \times 2 \times a \times b \times c \\ & =8 a b c \end{aligned}\)  \columnbreak \textbf{Example 2}\\ Simplify \(6 p \times 3 q \times 2 p\)\\  \textbf{Example 2 solution}\\ \(\begin{aligned} 6 p \times 3 q \times 2 p & =6 \times 3 \times 2 \times p \times p \times q \\ & =36 p^2 q . \end{aligned}\) \end{multicols}
